I had a pot of Home made Chicken soup in the refrigerator for eight years! Just kidding, eight days, I brought it to a boil for about two or three minutes with the hope of killing off any possible bacteria growth, however when boiling vegetables for a long length of time can destroy the vitamins in them, so you have to kinda wonder whether its even worth taking the risk. In our case the soup was fine we felt fine the next day.

Chicken soup can be reheated several times before it goes bad. As long as the chicken soup is properly refrigerated afterwards, it can be kept for up to seven days.
