I raised some corn snakes a while back, and even though they were in the house, the female laid eggs. The female will appear "pregnant" with developing eggs for about 4 weeks after a successful mating. As soon as those eggs have the membranous shell in place, out they come (12 - 24) and mama pretty much forgets about them. That will be the last of April or first of May, though some will not lay their eggs until June. When they hatch, about 10 weeks later, the babies are on their own.
