In the spring go to a garden center to buy strawberry plants and then plant them when frosts are not a problem anymore. You won't get any berries the same year you buy them. By the next year you will have strawberries. The first 2 years of harvesting will be the best. Then starting the third year you get get less strawberries every year until its time to plant new plants.
