Brine shrimp eggs can remain dormant for at least several years and still hatch when conditions such as temperature, salinity, and oxygen levels are suitable. Under proper storage conditions, some brine shrimp eggs have been known to hatch even after decades of dormancy.
Sea monkeys are actually a type of brine shrimp, which are living organisms. They are sold as novelty pets and can be hatched from eggs that remain dormant for long periods. When placed in water, the eggs hatch and the tiny shrimp emerge, demonstrating typical characteristics of living creatures, such as growth and reproduction.
This is a ridiculous question, since a so called 'pregnant' shrimp is already carrying her eggs around with her. So... a 'pregnant' shrimp will definitely not lay another egg as long as she is carrying around her eggs! This is the same type of question as the famous: 'How many times will a woman menstruate during her pregnancy - if her cycle is an average 28 days and her pregnancy last an average 280 days'. She won't! (as a rule)
If they are correctly dried and properly packed they may last for hundreds of years.
Brine shrimp hatch in a certain amount of salt in there water. If you are trying to make brine shrimp (sea-monkeys) you need to add half a tbl spoon full of salt to purified water. You can not use tap water they can die. The life span of sea monkeys (brine shrimp) is only 6 to 8 months long. Brine shrimp can survive without food for days even months. Adult brine shrimp can also, survive without water. I am entering the science fare for the fourth grade science fair. My project is on brine shrimp. So far i found out brine shrimp hatches the best in fresh water that has half a tbl spoon full of salt. That is how brine shrimp hatch. BY:Natalie Burnau 4th grade
fisheries can have the eggs hatching in a matter of weeks. they use rather controversial techniques that have yet to be regulated. other than that 3months.
It takes 2 to 3 days for the eggs to hatch.
Yes, brine shrimp can survive in a biosphere as they are resilient and adaptable creatures. As long as the biosphere provides the necessary conditions such as appropriate temperature, salinity, and food source, brine shrimp can thrive and reproduce within the controlled environment of a biosphere.
