It depends on what type of bacon you serve, and how many slices you're allowing per person. If it's a buffet you'll generally go through more bacon, but again it depends who is eating it and when. Teenage boys will eat a lot of bacon. Women and younger children, less. On a buffet it will also depend on what other food you have, and whether you put the bacon first or last on the buffet line - usually people take less of the stuff at the end because their plates are already full.

If you buy regular cut bacon you get about 18 slices per pound. Thick cut is about 14 to 16.

So if you're plating the meal, and allow 3 slices per serving, one pound of regular cut bacon would serve 6 people. So you'd need about 35 lbs. If you only did two slices per person you'd need 25 lbs. If it's a buffet I'd go with about 40 lbs.

If you use thick cut bacon, 2 slices per person would require about 30 lbs. 3 slices per person you'd need about 43 lbs. Buffet I'd go as high as 50 lbs.

I usually make sure there is 1/2lb. of meat per person to go with any side dishes. This is excluding the weight of any bone. So for 20 people, i would prepare 10 plus lbs.
