About 20...........Half of that is 10......
To determine how many loaves of bread are needed to feed 280 people, you first need to decide how many slices are in each loaf and how many slices each person will consume. For example, if each loaf contains 16 slices and each person eats 2 slices, you would need 280 people x 2 slices = 560 slices. Dividing 560 slices by 16 slices per loaf results in 35 loaves required.

In an 800g medium-sliced pan loaf, there are usually 19 slices, not counting the end slices (heels). This may vary by up to 2 slices either way, but in my experience the number is usually odd - very inconvenient if you're producing sandwiches on an industrial scale for events!
well it depends on the the size and how thick you want the slices to be

A typical Sasko loaf of bread usually contains around 20 to 24 slices, depending on the specific type and size of the loaf. However, the exact number can vary slightly based on factors like thickness of the slices and packaging. For the most accurate information, it's best to check the packaging of the specific loaf you have.

If you cut the loaf once, you have two slices, and they are pretty big ones. Each is half the loaf. If you cut it 2 times, you have three slices, and if you cut it 3 times you have 4 slices. We generalize and say if you cut the bread n times you have n+1 slices
The number of slices in a loaf of bread depends on, for example, whether it's thick or thin sliced or simply by the baker. On average however you can expect to get approximately 10 sandwiches per loaf.
It depends on the size of the loaf.If a loaf weighs 350 grams, and there are 10 slices in the loaf, then one slice weighs 35 grams. If there are 20 slices in the loaf, each slice weighs 17 grams.
Well that depends on what you want to pay, in the UK right now (Feb 09) you can get a standard loaf (800gms) for around 60p if you buy the cheapest or you can pay at least £1.35 for a premium quality loaf, a thick sliced loaf can yield just about 15 slices whilst a medium sliced loaf can yield upto 30 slices, so to answer your question. At 60p a loaf, 30 slices = 2p a slice. At £1.35 a loaf, 15 slices = 9p a slice.
