How many years of college do you have to have to be a cake designer?

i think you should need at least 4 years. My plan is to go to a community college for two years and then the community school will let you transfer to another culinary school. You will need to take a business class.

It depends wheather you want to be a proffetional baker, like the ones that want to go on telly. If yes then you have to have qualifications in cooking.If you want to open your own place then you just need to know how to bake. Its not hard. I wanna be a neonatoligist by the way..xx

No college is required to become a cake designer. One might attend vocational school and specialize in commercial baking, or simply find a job in a bakery where one could learn to design and decorate cakes.

None. But it is best to go to college and graduate but to be a cake decorator you dont need to go to college.

There is no exact amount. A professional cake designer should attend a few years (at least) of a bking and / or specialty decorating school, though.
