(2009) The world's biggest pumpkin weighs 1,725 pounds. It was raised by Christy Harp of Jackson Township, just outside of Canton, Ohio. She won $2500 and could claim the world title of the World's Heaviest Pumpkin.

She beat the previous record weight of 1,689 pound pumpkin in 2007, raised by Joe Jutras of North Sciturate, RI.

As of Fall 2008, the world's largest pumpkin weighed in at a whopping 1,528 lbs. That's a lot of pumpkin. ... but I personally think the biggest pumpkin is The Great Pumpkin, but no one has been able to catch this mysterious Halloween celebrity so he can be weighed.
