How much does it cost to buy a whole truffle?

White truffles cost from about $1000 to over $2000 a pound, and black truffles cost from $300 to over $600 a pound. Those prices reflect American dollars and local (U.S.) delivery, as this is approximately what the better eateries have to pay to get them. You'll not be seeing them in the produce department of your neighborhood grocery store.

Depending where you buy them truffles can cost from $250 to $450 per pound, they are quite expensive. But if you would like to buy truffle products on the cheaper side I would recommend buying truffle oil, quite delicious I might add, at about $15 to $30 per bottle (9 ounces).

It depends on the supply and harvest. If there is alot of black Truffels and a lot of harvest then they have a low price. Supply V.S Demand. If there is little harvest in Black truffels they well increase the price.If alot of people want Black truffels, then the prices go higher. example: There is alot of Ford trucks,but the demand for ford trucks is low they will lower the prices. If there is low supply of ford trucks, and the demand is high(people want ford trucks) then they will raise the price.
