How often should you change the water in a small tank with one goldfish?

If you have a tanks the size of a cereal box long, and the height of one tall, (which is the average), with a filter, than every 3-4 weeks. if you do it at the beginning of every month, then you would be on a better schedule. try getting a fish that eats algea. (or however you spell it)

Under normal conditions, provided the tank is set up with a good cycled filter and the 1 inch to 1 gallon rule has been observed, I would advocate at least a 50% water change weekly. If you are keeping more delicate fish or the tank is overstocked I would advise a minimum of 10% daily and 70% weekly.

Many times when the flowers get thrown out. Fish bowls are suitable for flower arrangements, keeping small things like buttons in and not much else. They are certainly not suitable for keeping fish in in this day and age. In the 1800 s when many people were totally ignorant of the requirements for keeping fish, one can understand their use. But now? There is no excuse for it. You really must follow the basic rules of sucessfull fishkeeping if you want to keep fish succesfully.
