How old do the hamsters have to be to separate from the mom?

i have a hamster but i am not entirely sure as i have never bred a hamster

Improved- Once the mother's had her pups seperate the mother from the father because the father will try and mate again with her almost directly after. Seperate the pups from the mother in about three or four weeks after, and be sure to seperate them by gender in different cages... Hope I helped?

They should be separated if you do not wish them to have babies. They start doing this at about 5 weeks old so this is the age they should be separated at. They don't stop drinking from the mother until two weeks old and so its important the puppies aren't separated until they are old enough to cope.
