In Nicholas Nickleby, Hawk appears as a friend of Nicholas's uncle.
My favorite book! A young man, Nicholas, is left peniless by his improvident father and is forced to work at a terrible school for money. He meets a poor, damaged fellow named Smike and runs away with him to seek their fortunes. Meanwhile, his sister Kate has been asked to entertain a bunch of barbaric "gentlemen" and is assaulted by Sir Mulberry Hawk. I hope this wasn't for a book report. If so, you are a scumbag. Otherwise, it is a fantastic book and I highly recommend it. Merry Christamas!
Hawk first meets Spenser in the Robert B. Parker novel "Promised Land," which was published in 1976. Hawk becomes Spenser's friend and occasional ally in his subsequent adventures.

Oh, dude, the first Spenser novel with Hawk is "Promised Land." It's like the OG buddy cop duo, but in book form. They're like the Batman and Robin of the detective world, but with more witty banter and less spandex.
The University of Iowa's mascot, Herky the Hawk, symbolizes the state's rich wildlife and embodies the spirit of determination and resilience. The hawk is also a nod to the university's athletic teams, known as the Hawkeyes, which were named after a character in the novel "The Last of the Mohicans." Herky was introduced as the official mascot in the 1940s and has since become a beloved symbol of school pride and tradition.
The phrase "he could hood his eyes like a hawk" suggests that the character possesses the ability to focus intensely and observe with great precision, much like a hawk that can have its vision covered to sharpen its focus. In the context of the novel "The Thirty-Nine Steps," it implies that the character is skilled at maintaining a calm and observant demeanor, allowing him to discern important details in a tense or complex situation. This metaphor underscores the theme of vigilance and the need for sharp perception in the face of danger.

I am looking this up myself, sorry if this answer is not useful to you, but I believe that Narmer's brother was named Hawk, this may be fiction as I read it in a Fact-Fiction novel about Narmer.
A "Seahawk" is a nickname for the Osprey, part of the Raptor Family. Other nicknames for the Osprey are "Fish Hawk" or "Fish Eagle" Actually "Sea Hawk" is not a correct zoological term for any animal, it's only used as a nickname. The Name was invented by the novelist Rafael Sabatini in 1915. The hero of the novel "The Sea Hawk", Sir Oliver Tressilian, was reverential called "Sakr-el-Bahr" (the hawk of the sea) by his Arabian fellow pirates. The film adaption from 1940 with Errol Flynn was very popular, although not faithful to the book's plot. Some marine-fighterplanes and -helicopters are named "Sea Hawk" related to this fictional naval hero.
