As Basil is a herb i would say there is no gluten in it at all. Gluten is from grain such as wheat and rye so Basil is totally gluten free.
They do not contain gluten per say. But, the protein in them can be a problem. I had to go off tomatoes after going gluten free. They were causing the same symptoms as the gluten. This was also the case with peanut butter. Sherri
