Yes, you can use a stethoscope to hear the heartbeat of a fetus around 3 months (12 weeks) of gestation, although it may be challenging. Typically, fetal heartbeats are more easily detected using a Doppler fetal monitor during this early stage. A stethoscope may pick up the heartbeat as the pregnancy progresses, but it's generally more reliable after the first trimester.
