How long can chicken beef and pork be frozen and still be safe to eat?

From a microbiological standpoint, it would be safe forever. Palatability is another issue and will depend upon how good the freezer is and on the packaging used. Raw cuts of beef could be OK for 6-12 months. Ground beef or small pieces should be used within 3-4 months. Use up cooked beef within 3 months. See Related Links.

Is frozen ground beef for 2 years still good to cook and eat?

no , it is not What planet did you come from? Corned beef was corned for a reason. To preserve, back in the days when there was no such thing as a refrigerator. You can leave have a corned beef brisket in the fridge for 8 months past its expiration date and it will probably taste even better. The one that said no must be a hypochondriac or working for the FDA (who puts expiration dates on everything because it is law). Corning beef is to preserve it, not a steak you "woops left out" better throw the steak away...

"Pink slime" is beef trimmings. Once only used in dog food and cooking oil, the trimmings are now sprayed with ammonia so they are safe to eat and added to most ground beef as a cheaper filler.
