It is best to only use cake mix after it has expired for a few months. Any longer and it should just be thrown out.
When you mix biscuit and iodine, the iodine can interact with the starches present in the biscuit. If the biscuit contains starch, the iodine will turn a blue-black color, indicating the presence of starch. This reaction occurs because iodine molecules fit inside the helical structure of starch, forming a complex. If the biscuit does not contain starch, there will be no significant color change.
No. If it was safe, then it wouldn't be expired.
...about $5, depending on where you live and what you consider to be "biscuit mix', and what size you are looking to buy. Mosts familiar brand and size being Bisquick 16oz (I think)
no because then the mix wouldn't be viscus as much as what a conventional cake mix needs.
A good place to start is a cookbook at home. Many cookbooks have biscuit recipes. Foodnetwork, YouTube, Betty Crocker, and Kraft always have some great recipes. Sometimes if you have made a basic biscuit recipe, you can include diced or shredded cheese in your mix.
The biscuit is made from bread and sugar. Then mix with ice (water+glass) to make ice cream!
