Ketchup does not have a single chemical name like H20 (water) or H2SO4 (Sulphuric Acid), therefore is not a compound.

Ketchup consists mainly of a mixture of vinegar and tomatoes, which aren't elements or compounds themselves, therefore ketchup is a mixture of a lot of molecules.
