My teacher classified it as a heterogeneous mixture
I would say a compound, because, if I can remember correctly, a miture is like a salad. You can take out the lettuce, tomatoes, cucmbers, and what not, a taco could also be a mixture.
They are a mixture
Lettuce is not a chemical compound.
Water is a compound
It is a mixture.
Assuming we think of the parts of the Hamburger as being different "particles" in an imaginary "mixture", the hamburger would be a heterogeneous mixture, since each part of the hamburger did not combine and change form once mixed with the other parts. The lettuce did not become gold when added with the ketchup, it is still lettuce and the ketchup is still ketchup. They are simply combined.
its a heterogeneous mixture
Concrete is a mixture not a compound.
