Well in a way, we are all part of the food chain, grasshopers and humans , sharks and rabbits, your cat and my dog. That pretty much means that we all serve a role in the food chain , may that be to eat the lower boxes of it, or be eaten by the higher. In that PoV( Point Of View) grasshopers are food for other animals as part of the food chain. Same way you 'll eat a hamburger or a chicken next week!
