The burnt sugar on crème brûlée is not inherently bad for you, but it does contain some potential health considerations. While the sugar adds a delightful caramelized flavor, consuming excessive amounts of sugar can contribute to health issues like weight gain and increased risk of chronic diseases. Additionally, the high temperatures at which the sugar is caramelized can produce small amounts of potentially harmful compounds, but the levels are typically low. Enjoying crème brûlée in moderation is key to balancing its indulgent qualities with a healthy diet.
