However, the trick to helping your child focus is to provide a good breakfast that is not all sugary-cereal. Kids need good nutrition to focus - mini-wheats actually does have some good whole-grain carbohydrates that would be helpful. Fruit juice will give them a sugary taste without being junk food, and protein will give them energy to last until lunchtime, so toss in some peanut butter or lean meat also. The other thing children need in order to focus is sleep - be sure your kids are getting 10-12 hours of sleep every night, because they need more than adults need!
