Jolly ranchers
Back in the day when penny candy was two pieces of candy for one cent, jolly ranchers "wine candy" only came in a few flavors like green apple, grape, and cherry. if you looked at the candy near a light it looked similar to the colors of bottled wine, grape, cherry, and a yellowish clear version of green apple. Thus when someone was buying penny candy at the store when there was a lot of candy to chose from and you did not know the name of the candy but, you tried to describe the candy to the person that was selling it, it was often stated the one that looks like wine flavors,...thus wine candy.

Jolly Rancher is a candy brand owned by the Hershey Company. While the company makes many types of candies including gummies and fruit chews, they are most famous for their hard candies that come in flavors such as green apple and watermelon.
To make a Dirty Sprite with Jolly Ranchers, start by crushing a few Jolly Ranchers of your choice into a fine powder. In a glass, mix the crushed candy with your preferred clear soda, such as Sprite or 7-Up, to create a sweet, fruity flavor. You can also add a splash of purple or green drink mix for additional color and flavor. Stir well and enjoy your colorful, candy-infused beverage!
The taste really good to most people but they aren't exactly healthy.
They're not; they're just as common as the other Jolly Rancher flavors.

The original Jolly Rancher hard candies come in five different flavors. These flavors are blue raspberry, cherry, watermelon, green apple, and grape. Lemon was also a previous flavor but it got replaced by blue raspberry.
