Of course you can! You can eat clams, mussels, etc. as long as they are cooked until the shell is opened.(But, make sure the shells are tightly shut BEFORE you put them on to steam/boil. If the mussel is open and you try to shut it and it springs back open, DO NOT COOK/EAT IT! It's already dead and posionous if consumed.
