Yes so much so you will stop breathing and die. When you make poppy tea you have no control or knowledge of the levels of opium in it. Nor do you know how much you should put in a cup of tea or a pot of tea.

If you read some addicts suggestions online better hope you have the same tolerance levels, blood serum levels, and the exact same batch of poppies.

This is the stupidest way to take drugs as you have no control. This make abusing pills like taking an aspirin.

Worse then Russian Roulette odds!

The short answer is No. Poppy seeds themselves are inert, and contain no alkaloids. The long answer on the other hand, is well... kind of. It is possible for sap to "leak" on to the seeds from inside the seed pod, coating them with miniscule amounts of alkaloids. This is documented in the many cases of positive drug tests resulting from the consumption of poppy seed food products. Some people have tried soaking large quantities of poppy seeds (several hundered grams) in water, lemon juice etc, and then drinking the liquid the seeds were soaked in. Mild effects have been reported as a result. Often as not though, those who have tried this method have reported back no effects at all. While it has been argued that It could be just a placebo effect, this is likely not the case. It is not recommended that anyone try this looking for a cheap "legal high" -- there has been at least one recorded incidence of a young man dying after consuming poppy seed tea. So beware. In the end, most people tend to think that even if minor effects can be obtained, given the massive quantities of poppyseed required it is not worth the hassle, waste, and potential exposure to other unknown substances in the seeds.

all you really need are a few items from your local grocer

1.) need at least one (1) pound of reg. poppy seeds (yes, the kind you put on muffins)

2.) a small bag of citric acid (powder) or some lemon juice

3.) some boiling h2o

step one: get your boiling h2o and place 1tbsp citric acid inside(or the juice of one lemon)

step two: place your seeds in an adequate container and pour the near-boiling water over them ( try to minimize the h2o content... you'll be drinking it)

step three: let the seeds steep until its cooled and strain (keep the liquid)

and thats that! you now have a really diluted cup of morphine sulfate. does'nt taste great, so drink chilled with some sweetener.

I take 2-3 lb. dose at a time; just like taking oxy 80... no kidding. effects last 2 days.

REMEMBER: people have died doing this... it really is morphine and you can really overdose! (and come to think of it, morphine is really ileagl
