Should kids be allowed to chew gum in school?

There really isn't and right or wrong answer. If you chew it noxiously then it becomes a distraction and people cant focus, also the teachers always think that since people on the streets just spit out gum onto the sidewalks they think that students will most likely just throw it on the ground. In my opinion it is a distraction because once my teacher found out I had gum and told me to throw it away, I got a lot of my classroom worksheet finished. It is a rule in my school although I am very experienced to keep teachers from knowing. TIP: NEVER Chew Trident, it is the most obvious gum to notice someone having, easy smell, very flavoring so the student is tempted to chew and annoying to keep hidden somewhere in your mouth. Chew Stride its best.

Not unless the teacher and all other students are not driven insane by the smacking and chomping. I say keep the gum to at home for study times. Gum in public is annoying to others. Although it may benefit that person it distracts and annoys (many) others.

Yes I think you should be able to chew gum but it guts stuck under desks which is horrible

Me, yes because one of my teachers during a big test that took a whole 2 weeks said Chewing Gum makes children think more. I don't know if that is true but i think so. But i wouldn't if they were a young age because they might spit it on the floor or put it on their desk...... yes u are allowed to chew gum at school because it is a free country.

As long as they are mature enough to throw it away when they are done, then yes.

Gum is usually banned from school because students don't always dispose of it properly and it's very difficult to clean gum off furniture, floors, locker, etc.
