Alexander Graham Bell was interested in sound because of his passion for helping the deaf communicate. This interest led him to invent the telephone as a means of transmitting sound over long distances, revolutionizing communication technology. Additionally, Bell's fascination with sound and speech led to his exploration of techniques for teaching speech to the deaf.
Alexander Graham Bell studied the nature of sound and speech, particularly in relation to the human voice. He also conducted research on transmitting sound over long distances, which led to the invention of the telephone.

Alexander graham bell, i think he was Canadian though
yes, it all started with electricity. Then he became interested in sound and speech, and wanted to teach the deaf by making them "see sound," so this he did. Next, the voice transmitter, or the harmonic telegraph, came about. After this, he put a liquid transmitter in a electrical curcuit, this became known as the electircal telegraph (or the telephone). By the summer of 1877, the telephone had become a business, all thanks to Alexander Graham Bell.
The part(s) of speech that has an "A" sound are: Adjective and Adverb.
A monophthong is a speech sound characterized by a single, unchanging vowel sound.
He used the Greek words, building on the word telegraph:"tele" - meaning distant (television is distant vision); and"phone" - "speech sound" (as in phonetics, or phonograph). So put it together - "telephone" - meaning speech and sound traveling distant.
Alexander Graham Bell's wife and mother were both deaf. He was interested in and performed research involving speech and hearing devices and this led to his development of devices designed to transmit sound. Eventually he invented and was granted the first patent for the telephone. Ironically, he considered the invention of the telephone a distraction from his real work of assisting the deaf.
A speech sound, also known as a phoneme, is a distinct unit of sound in spoken language. It is the smallest unit of sound that can differentiate meaning between words. Different languages may have different sets of speech sounds.
