The main differences between prawns and shrimp are their size, anatomy, and habitat. Prawns are typically larger in size, have branching gills, and live in freshwater, while shrimp are smaller, have plate-like gills, and are found in saltwater.
Shrimp and prawns are both crustaceans, but they have some key differences. Prawns are typically larger and have longer legs compared to shrimp. Prawns also have claws on three of their five pairs of legs, while shrimp have claws on two pairs. In terms of taste, prawns are often considered to have a sweeter flavor compared to shrimp.
