You should not touch the baby hamsters until they are 6 weeks old. Don't play with the mother hamster. If you touch the baby hamsters before 4 weeks the mother hamster might eat her babies. Give extra food because the mother might think that there isn't enough food and kill some of her babies. Don't be surprised when the mother eats her baby because the baby might be sick. I never had a female hamster but I read all this from a book. Good Luck!
If you are asking can a hamster have triplets, then the answer is yes. The average litter for a hamster is anywhere around 2 to 5 babies, but some hamsters have had more than twenty babies. However, how many babies your hamster has can vary from hamster to hamster.
Do not put the male around the female! Some male hamsters eat the babies, I'm not kidding.
I can name three hamsters. There is the Russian hamster, the Dwarf hamster, and the Chinese hamster.
There is lots like, Syrian, Chinese dwarf hamster, Campbells dwarf hamster, Robo dwarf hamster, Russian hamster. My favorite, is the blueberry campbells dwarf hamster and the Syrian hamster. They are the sweetest and easy to hold. NOT THE ROBO"S!!!
Rolling her and biting her are signs of domination. You need to keep an eye on it. Some hamsters are very territorial, and will fight other hamsters, even if they are female. He can potentially hurt her.
I have 2 options 1. You get another hamster 2. You do some research on the hamster
hamsters can have babies but they have to be more than 21 days owned. put the same breed hamster female and male hamster in the same cages every day till 4 days have been. then you go to your girl hamster ,what has been playing with the boy hamster, to the shop then carlson or some one will say "could this be i think (your hamsters name) could be pregnate" and then you will have to wait 1 week for it to have a baby.
No they can't, you spelled babies wrong No they can't, you spelled babies wrong
When it comes to hamsters teddy bear hamsters or black bear hamsters are the way to go. Dwarfs are typically mean...also male are the better choice anyway females get moody.
Some hamsters find it extremely interesting to see itself in a mirror. Some hamsters do think it is another hamster they are seeing, but get confused on how to reach them. Or your hamster may just like the edges and want to eat it.
No, a female hamster cannot have a baby without mating. Hamsters, like all mammals, require fertilization from a male to become pregnant. Female hamsters have a reproductive cycle that includes going into heat, during which they are receptive to mating. Without mating, a female hamster will not become pregnant and give birth to babies.
Hamsters are solitary animals. The exception is male and female pairs of some species. They can become quite attached. But in general a group of hamsters will get stressed out and fight. Sometimes fatally, especially males.
