Why do people get ice cream when they get their tongsils out?
Ice cream is also a “comfort food” and when you’re in the
hospital (or recovering at home), comfort is of the utmost
importance. Doctors these days don't usually reccomend it now a
days, but they used to before few years. But Doctors can be wrong
sometimes. They might have examined a different patient, who can't
bear ice cream versus who can cure by eating ice cream. For
instance, my doctor recommend me to eat a lot of ice cream or cool
soft drinks or eat/drink something cool, after I got my tonsils
removed. They cured really quick. A lot of water right? It will. A
disadvantage of this is you get acontinuouscold. It sucks! Some eat
it because, they want to.
