Tonsils are not just flesh there made up of white blood cells.Tongsils are very useful the collect any bacteria that are on food to stop you getting any disses

Why do people get ice cream when they get their tongsils out?

Ice cream is also a “comfort food” and when you’re in the hospital (or recovering at home), comfort is of the utmost importance. Doctors these days don't usually reccomend it now a days, but they used to before few years. But Doctors can be wrong sometimes. They might have examined a different patient, who can't bear ice cream versus who can cure by eating ice cream. For instance, my doctor recommend me to eat a lot of ice cream or cool soft drinks or eat/drink something cool, after I got my tonsils removed. They cured really quick. A lot of water right? It will. A disadvantage of this is you get acontinuouscold. It sucks! Some eat it because, they want to.
