Will chickens rooster an hens related breed I have raised these chickens from eggs came from a friend these chicks are brother an sister will they breed.?

Yes they can breed, but they will be inbred. This may not affect the birds at all, But the more interbreeding between family members, the more suseptible to disease and deformity they become. The best thing to do is swap the roosters with other people with the same problem. you will end up with healther happier chicks. Hope this helps. Regards Chook Butcher.

1 of your hens had 2 chicks you had a rooster the father but it died it turns out 1 of the chicks is a rooster now will he breed with the rest of the flock?

Yes. Chickens don't have our morals or laws. But inbreeding too many generations can lead to an infertile flock. This will happen if say the 2 chicks breed together and their chicks breed together, and the chicks chicks chicks breed and so on. Father and daughter or mother and son is called setting the blood lines. If you ever get any new hens or roosters and introduce them in to your flock it will`replenish` the gene pool. You don't want the family tree to run a straight line for too many generations, but for the first 3-4 generations should be ok. This is just a quick overview on the subject.

Do people breed chickens just for pets?

Yes, some do. We have chickens pretty much for pets. Getting eggs from them is a bonus. We bought them when they were chicks, raised them, give them treats, pick them up and pet them (since they are used to being held), and are generally entertained by them.

Will your other chickens and rooster hurt the chicks that will hatch in the pen?

Much of this depends on the breed, game chickens tend to be more aggresive. Chickens, like people, have individual personalities. You should never assume that ,because it is a certain breed, your chicks will be safe. Ideally, you would want to keep the roosters separate. If you must keep the rooster in the cage with the chicks I would recommend watching them closely for the first few days. Also , if a hen hatched the chicks she will most likely defend them.

What is the best breed of chickens to eat fleas and ticks?

Guinea fowl are the best breed of chicken for eatting bugs. However, any egg-laying breed (as opposited to meat-giving breed) raised from chicks without an overabundance of cereals, and given worms, grubs, etc. from a young age can perform the task well.

What other birds can breed with chickens?

The turkey is. It is also recommended, as turkey chicks don't know how to pickup seeds or bird food from the ground, so they imitate other chicken chicks. Guineas are another fowl that live very well with chickens. In fact, guinea hens will often serve as an alarm, screeching when a predator comes near the flock.
