Washington State has both thick woods and coastal waters. The weather in the Spring/Summer and even into Fall is really nice, and the Ocean is beautiful. If you want to spend some time away from the beach, you won't have to go very far to find the perfect locale to pull out your tent and cocoa and settle in to your campsite.
