Well, since Bettas are an agressive fish, you may want to keep them in just tanks of females or seperate tanks for males. Males will fight with each other and maybe kill, but females in a school of 3 or more should keep the agression down, but don't be surprised to wake up one morning after having them for years, and one of the bettas has a torn fin. (One male betta CAN live with 3 or more females. Just don't add a lot of males)
