I take care of aquatic snails, and they don't do too much. They sometimes crawl around and reach the surface of the water, then while coming back down fall off themselves. Then they might crawl towards a dropped fish pellet and consume it (it takes a long time for them to eat it, because their mouths are really small and the fish pellets are a bit big). After that they may crawl on each other ( Idon't think they're mating...but they do this often....I wonder if they are....). Then they might eat another pellet. Then sometimes they go into their shells and "sleep".

Snails are not fish. They are a different type of aquatic creature known as gastropods.

Yes they can.
Aquatic snails do not necessarily require a filter for their habitat, but having a filter can help maintain water quality by removing waste and debris. It can also help provide oxygen for the snails and other aquatic organisms in the tank.
Yes, some snails live in water. Aquatic snails can be found in freshwater or saltwater habitats. They typically have gills to breathe underwater and may have a shell to protect themselves. Aquatic habitats for snails can include ponds, rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Scientists refer to aquatic-snails nests appearing bubble-shaped or similar to a cocoon where pairs of snails reproduce every 6 days or few weeks.
