Generally speaking, big fish eat smaller fish. But they wil also eat squids, octopus, and mollusks.
Well, first ask yourself, "What kind of big fish? Sharks? Tarpons?"

A lot of big fish (ie. ones with teeth) eat smaller fish. Some large sharks, like the whale shark, (sharks are fish, people, they have gills) eat only plankton. Others eat algae.
