Most of them pump air into the tank so that the fish can breathe better. You should get one if you have a bamboo shrimp, I know from expirience.
The usefull thing an air pump can do is to drive a filter which is designed to remove the poisons that occur in every fish tank. Simply using it to blow bubbles is a waste.
Probably with an aquarium pump.
They do
yes
You need to get a water pump and filter for the aquarium at a pet store.
An electric air pump oxygenates the water in an aquarium, this allows the fish in the fish tank to breath. if there was no air pump the water would lose its oxygen and the fish would drown.
You should place it above the height of the waterline outside of the tank (unless you have a submersible)
A website by the name of Marinedepot offers a wide variety of aquarium pumps starting as low as $15.99 not to mention they offer free shipping on a large amount of their merchandise.
umm....well the water runs through a pump wich cleans the water as it goes through
Most chillers (except drop ins) need water to be pumped throught them.
No, a filter in an aquarium does not provide oxygen. It helps to clean the water by removing waste and debris, but oxygen is typically added to the water through an air pump or other means to ensure the fish have enough oxygen to breathe.
The worlds largest aquarium is The Georgia Aquarium.
