In the name of god, most merciful. firstly don't be worried. it could in fact be nothing. in most cases black or dark gums are normal. people with more melanin (pigment) in their skin may develop darker gums due to exposure to sunlight, among other things. also check to see if your guns are inflamed (swollen). if so you have gum disease. in stage one gum disease you can heal just by flossing, brushing, eating vitamin c and d, and more omega 3 fatty acid's. stages 3 through 4 you may require further treatment. SEE YOUR DENTIST!! if they aren't swollen, no worries but you can still get rid of them. just ask your dentist and he/she will help you. Nothing too expensive. natural darkening is usually roughly symmetrical. if there is just one spot, you may (though very very rare) have oral malignant melanoma. pray to god you don't. it is deadly in Most cases. so whatever you decide to do, see your dentist. and god knows best! PEACE!

i dont know ask your vet
If your gums are turning black and have a cold sensation, I would suspect gingivitis or some other form of periodontal disease; in any event, this certainly should be examined by a dentist!

Black spots on your gums can most commonly be either amalgam stains, or melanine spots. If you use to have silver fillings, these can cause amalgam stains in the gums when they are removed. If you are a Black or Indian person, or have black ancestors, you might have melanine spots on your gums. It is best to have them checked by a dentist just to make sure it is not something bad.
Some dogs naturally have black gums, or gums with black spots. However, if a dog's gums suddenly turn black, this could be an indicator of illness and a veterinarian should be consulted immediately.
no there is no black but just pink
Sometimes but it is mainly due to pigment, just as the same with pigmentation of the skin. It's interesting because chimpanzees, our closest biological relative, have pink gums. Black, purpurple and pink gums are perfectly healthy gums. If you get a change in colour of your gums over the span of your life, then there is a problem!
