the onion weed in my garden has stiff green leaves up to 30cm long. It comes from an underground bulb which can be quite deep -up to 20 or so cms. This bulb sends out underground stolens which soon mature into more weeds. It also sends up a white flower and this quickly seeds to spread the weed even further. I understand there is an organic method of control- putting a drop of oil in the centre of the plant, but I don't know which oil is safe to use for the health of the garden. I expect it could be applied with an eyedropper. I used cooking oil with little success.
