Of all the that food Aztec's ate corn was their most important part of their diet which they called maize. Corn was so important to the Aztecs it played a role in the mythology. We need to remember corn came in many different variates that would base on the color, size, shape and texture. It would also be eaten in many different ways and these included tortillas and tamales [pepper]. Besides corn there was many different for essential to the Aztec diet.
