80-90% is the best humidity to keep them at.
I wouldn't recommend it ! Due to the fact that the Pygmy Chameleon rarely grows bigger than ONE INCH - the Veiled Chameleon, although not a lizard-eater - could mistake the Pygmy for an insect (and thus lunch !) In addition to that - since they are from different countries, they will need different temperature ranges and humidity !
Fl Chams breeds and sells chameleons to anywhere in America. They sell and breed Panther Chameleons, Veiled Chameleons, Premium Veiled Chameleons, Translucent Veiled Chameleons, Jacksons Chameleons, Pygmy Chameleons, Carpet Chameleons, Other Chameleon Species. I know about them but I checked their site many times and they had wc only when available
Pygmy Mouse Lemurs eat a large variaty of Exotic Fruits and Insects because they live in Madagascar.
Absolutely not ! Chameleons require a lot of looking after. They need high humidity, specialised lighting and are prone to stress. They should be for experienced keepers only.
Pygmy chameleons, belonging to the genus Rhampholeon, are among the smallest chameleon species, typically measuring between 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 centimeters) in length. Their compact size, along with their vibrant colors and distinctive features, makes them unique among reptiles. These tiny chameleons are primarily found in the forests of Madagascar and are well adapted to their environment.
Yes they do... Most Chameleon species live in hot, humid, tropical climates. If you're keeping them in captivity - you NEED to provide the correct levels of heat, lighting and humidity to mimic their natural habitat.
most of the chameleons live in the canopy Chameleons live below the canopy because that's where their prey is abundant. More Arid chameleons such as the Veiled Chameleons use medium trees as a home.
No way First of all, chameleon's and gecko's my have diffrent humidity and temprature requirement depending on which type of chameleon or gecko you are referring to. Also both chameleons and geckos are rather aggressive (more chameleons). Chameleons get stressed very easily. They can even get stressed when they see their own reflection.
yes they need about 80% humidity
Chameleons in general have a varied diet depending on their locality. An adult Veiled chameleon is a very arid chameleon and would dine on desert tree dwelling insects. A Pygmy Chameleon is, as the name implies, very small, and as such would eat smaller insects/arachnids from its respective tropical region.
A Pygmy marmoset needs 1-2 acres, as they live in family groups.
You can typically tell the gender of a chameleon by examining the base of their tail. Males usually have enlarged spurs on their hind legs, while females do not. Additionally, male chameleons tend to have larger casques (head crests) and are more brightly colored than females.
