Frike is a grain used in Lebanese cooking. Frike ( also speeled frikeh, or freekah) is a food made from green wheat that goes through a roasting process, after it is processed it resembles green bulgar. Frike has at least four times as much fiber as some other comparable grains, consisting mostly of insoluble fiber. It also has a low glycemic index, it is commonly compared to quinoa and farro.
