There is no single proper recipe, but the basic idea is this:

  • 1 Full graham cracker, broken in half
  • 1/6th (or 1/3rd) of a standard (about 1.55oz) chocolate bar
  • 1 toasted marshmallow (or, if not available, an approximately equivalent amount of marshmallow fluff)
Put the chocolate on one half of the graham cracker. Toast a marshmallow over coals or if that is not an option, open flames. Once the marshmallow is toasted, place in on the chocolate, and flatten it somewhat by pressing the second half of the graham cracker down firmly on top. It tastes best if you eat it while it is still warm!
