On Halloween, animals will "trick or treat" when they see you, and you give them a piece or they'll play a trick on your (aka change your clothes, take something out of your pockets, etc.), but if you find Jack, the "Halloween Master" and you find him 12 times and have 12 pieces of candy without your neighbors taking them from you, you can get the full secret "Spooky" furniture series.
Also, on Festivale, there's a dancing peacock who will want a specific color of candy each time you talk to him, if you go talk to your villagers, they'll give you a piece of candy if you play a game with them, it may not be the color Pave (the dancing peacock) wants, so it's pretty hard (plus, if you lose the villager's game, they'll take a piece of YOUR candy). And if you give candy to Pave 12 times, he'll give you the secret "Pave" furniture series, which I really like.
Hope I helped,
Zach :)
