pot still is a method of distilling fermented liquid to make alcohol. this the olden method and also known as traditional method.
patent still is the fastest and quick method of making spirit. it is also known as Coffey still, factory still, column still.
Pot distillation is a traditional method of distilling spirits, such as whiskey and brandy, using a pot still. In pot distillation, the liquid mixture is heated in a pot still, causing the alcohol to vaporize and rise through the column. The alcohol vapors are then condensed back into liquid form, resulting in a higher proof spirit with more flavor and character compared to other distillation methods.
The two major types of stills are the pot still & the patent still: 1. pot still - this sitll is basically made in two parts. A large rounded copper pot with a long neck, tapering near the top. The pot still is mainly used to distill scotch, whiskies, and some liqueurs and rums. 2. patent still - is generally used to distill grain whiskies.

To effectively use the pot in pot planting method in your garden, place a smaller pot with plants inside a larger pot filled with soil. This method helps regulate soil temperature, conserves water, and makes it easier to move plants around. Make sure to choose appropriate plant combinations and water them regularly.
Samuel Hopkins from Philadelphia was granted the first U.S. patent in 1790 for "making pot and pearl ahses." (It was a cleaning formula used for soapmaking.)
If you mean by a still an artform, a still can be made with many different ways, and the selected media dictates the equipment one needs. A camera, for example, or set of paints and brushes and canvas.A still is basicly any form of art that does not move. But if you mean by a still a distilling apparatus, for making alcohol, you at least need a distiller vessel, made out of copper and a heating source.Commonly known as a pot still. A pot still incorporates only one condensation. Other means with multiple stages would result in higher purification of the more volatile component. Pot still distillation gives an incomplete separation, but this can be desirable for the flavor of some distilled beverages.I can not give an exact list here what to buy, as distilling alcohol is still illegal in many countries, including mine.Distillation is a method of separating mixtures based on differences in volatilities of components in a boiling liquid mixture. Distillation is a physical separation process, and not a chemical reaction. One can distill other things than alcohol too. It depends on the what you want to distill to know what equipment you need. But the common factors in all distillation processes is a heat source, vessel where the separation is done and a vessel where the product is gathered. Also some tubing to connect the two. I would also add protective gear like goggles and gloves. Some distillation processes require a purification or further treatment of the produce until the finished product is acquired.

I do not see why you couldn't!
Traditional distillation is a process that involves heating a liquid to create vapor and then cooling the vapor back into a liquid to separate and purify its components based on their different boiling points. It has been used for centuries to produce alcoholic beverages like whiskey and brandy, as well as essential oils and other distilled products. Traditional distillation typically involves pot stills or alembic stills and is still practiced in many regions around the world.
The first evidence of distillation was found in Tape Gowra, Mesopotamia. It consisted of a pot, which held almost 40 liters, and a collecting ring, that had a capacity of about 2 liters. This apparatus dates back to 3600 B.C
