If I understand the question correctly, you are referring to the layers of a massive star as it nears the end of it's life.
When a massive star nears the end of it's life, it runs out of hydrogen, the outward pressure that has kept it stable for most of it's life, is no longer there, this causes a collapse. This collapse, causes the core to heat up and helium is then fused.
This process repeats several times; each time the core collapses, and the collapse is halted by the ignition of a further process involving more massive nuclei and higher temperatures and pressures.
This creates the onion effect, a distinct layer of different fusing, with the lighter - or easier fused" elements towards the edge.

An XL onion, or an onion who decided to not be an onion anymore.
No, an onion is not a lily. It is not a flower. An onion is a vegetable.
Onion is a noun.
onion
Onion salt contains salt also whereas onion powder only contains powdered onion.
The onion-layer model describes the post-Main Sequence structure of a high mass star because it consists of layers of hydrogen, helium, and heavier elements that have been produced through nuclear fusion reactions. As the star evolves, these layers form concentric shells with different elements at varying depths, much like the layers of an onion. This structure is a result of the star's nuclear burning stages and defines its chemical composition and energy production mechanism.
1 Tbls Onion Powder = 1 medium onion, chopped = 4 Tbls fresh chopped onion 1 Tbls Granulated Onion = 1 medium onion, chopped = 4 Tbls fresh chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon onion powder equals 1 tablespoon minced onion also read as this: 1/8 teaspoon onion powder equals 1/16 cup of minced onion
