The price of bacon or any other commodity is a moving target that cannot be quantified easily into monetary units. This is true for several reasons, the simplest of which is that there are grades of bacon ranging from the cheapest (mostly fat) brands coming under retailers own brand names to gourmet examples like Italian pancetta (available at upscale delis) for 3 or 4 times as much.
In most cases the price of a pound (half kilo) of reasonable quality bacon is about the same as an hours work at minimum wages.
Thee Ecnomist has done work on a similar problem - converting the hours of work needed to purchase a Big Mac in various countries of the world. See Link.
