3 cups mashed sweet potatoes cooked peeled and mashed
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. For the casserole, combine sweet potatoes, sugar,eggs, cream, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. Pour into a large greased casserole dish. Smooth top and set aside.
2. For topping, mix together butter, brown sugar, flour and nuts in a small bowl with a fork. Sprinkle evenly over sweet-potato mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
