You will need a flat surface large enough to work on. A tube of good silicone sealant like 'sealastic' with a nozzle and an applicator gun. Sufficient glass cut to size for a base, front, back and two ends. If the tank is longer than 36" and deeper than 14" you will also need 1.5" wide stress supports to run the length of both the front and back 1'down from the top and another one to run across from front to back at the mid point. Tools that will also make things easier are two long carpenters clamps and maybe a ball of strong string for tying if required.
If the aquarium is Higher/Deeper than 18" then the glass needs to be at least 1/4" thick. (Thicker is better).Tempering is not needed/neccessary in fish tank glass.
make shore that if its in a aquarium than make shore that the tank is sealed
