You may be describing several common plant pests:

The mealy bug is a stationary insect covered by a white fuzzy coating which makes it hard to treat with insecticide. They are usually found nestled at the junction of leaves to stems. Remove them one by one with Q-tips dipped into rubbing alcohol.

Aphids are small brown moving insects that suck plant juices for sustenance. Treat with any good insecticide that contains malathion. Aphids especially love roses.

Spider mites are also moving insects. They are very tiny and hard to see, but their webs are more visible on the underside of leaves. In a plant that has a severe infestation, the insect's damage is apparent as yellowish, mottled leaves. Spider mites are very 'contagious' so if you have one plant that has them, check all other nearby plants. Spider mites love dry conditions, so any plant that is allowed to dry out is prime real estate for spider mites. Treat with malathion several times or (for best results), submerge the entire plant for at least two hours in warm (not hot) water. This drowns all the mites, kills the eggs in the soil and helps to remove the webs. It will also give your dry plant a good watering! Drain plant well, then remove all insect damaged foliage. Spider mites love ivy.

Scale is similar to mealy bugs in that they do not look at all like an insect. These brownish insects are rounded or oval, and attach themselves to stems looking like brown plaques on the plant stem. They are best removed one by one with a fingernail. Malathion is somewhat helpful too. But, the scales' outer 'shell' offers it some protection from insecticide.

How long do seseame seeds stay in your system?

Sesame seeds? You're thinking of poppy seeds, not sesame seeds. Poppy seeds come from opium poppies and they have very, very small amounts of opium in them. If the test you're taking is turned down low enough to detect poppy seeds--and the current federal screening cutoff for opiates is high enough not to detect poppy seeds--they stay in your system three days. Sesame seeds don't have drugs in them. You can eat them by the pound if you like.
