When an animal is in pain, their main relief is to chew and distract themselves from their pain. It irriates them, therefore chewing their leg is a great plan in their eyes. This may be beacuse of the lenght of their teeth, a broken bone (they're bones are extremely fragile" or a more serious matter. If I were you I'd take your hamster to a veteranary clinic or an animal hospital. This could lead to much more than you think.
It is highly unlikely a hamster would get his leg caught in any equipment designed for them. Also they would have to be stuck for awhile before resorting to chewing a leg off.
I'm afraid not. You need to bring it to the vet immediately or your hamster will chew off the leg entirely. The leg could get infected and it might cause a painful disease. The vet will give your hamster some antibiotics.
Yes.maybe you should take your hamster he vet.
I think you should take your hamster to the vet if it broke it's leg. It is probaly the best sullotion
If your hamster has a broken leg, it's best to consult with a veterinarian to discuss treatment options. In some cases, the leg can be splinted or surgically repaired. The decision to put the hamster to sleep should be based on the advice of the vet and the hamster's overall quality of life.
TAKE HIM/HER TO THE VET!!!! Your hamster could have a broken leg or damaged her/his back.
If his leg is broken it is kindest to take him to the vet and have him put down. A broken leg can't normally be fixed in a hamster, and he will eventually die in pain.and give it food.
I'm not sure what can me done, but you should take your hamster to the vet.
You can, but it's not going to help the hamster in any way, broken bones are really traumatic and often get infected, so if you really care for your hamster you should take it to the vet.
you should stretch your legs like trying to do the splits
If your hamster is dragging both her feet, it is essential to take her to a vet immediately. This behavior could indicate severe pain or complications from the broken leg that require urgent attention and treatment. Delaying medical care can worsen the situation for your hamster.
