When they feel they need to. :D
Most fish do not get pregnant in the same way that mammals do. They lay eggs instead of carrying developing offspring internally. The time it takes for fish eggs to hatch varies depending on the species.
Guppies do not specifically need darkness to give birth; they can give birth in light or dark conditions. However, many fish, including guppies, may feel more secure and less stressed in dim lighting, which can lead to a more successful birthing process. Providing a calm environment can help reduce stress during this time. Ultimately, the conditions surrounding the birth are more important than the lighting itself.
Like humans do. their embryos form and develop. and after some time, the mother goes into labor.
I had a problem like this, a couple of fish pregnant at the same time. I would either keep them all the female guppies in the birthing tank or keep them in the community tank and when one of the female guppies give birth put the baby in the birthing tank. I did the second option and it was quite good, just don't overcrowd the birthing tank. :)
yes they do
She was pregnant with two babys at the same time.
guppies do not lay eggs the give birth to fry(baby guppies) and it depends on the environment it is in.. anywhere to 2-100.Guppies do not lay eggs. They give birth to live swimming young, like dolphins.
Mice tend to give birth about 3 weeks after getting pregnant however my mouse gave birth SIX weeks after pregnancy so be patient. They do not give birth at any particular time or day but usually when they are uninterrupted which is probably night. :)
Because they are pregnant during their winter sleep, and give birth during this time of torpor.
Yes, but sometimes one might peck at the other.
If you were a guinea pig, would you want privacy to give birth? Most animals in the wild would seek seclusion (privacy) and protection to give birth. This helps to protect them and their young from predators, as both are extremely vulnerable at this time.
They will hide but don't breath hard. You can tell if they are pregnant by looking at their little bellies and you will see a black spot just behind the stomachs. That means they are pregnant. Be sure to put plenty of floating plants in the tank or you can use the baby tanks the pet shops sell to save the babies as they are usually eaten up by the other fish. The babies need plenty of places to hide, such as lots of plants in your tank.
